A little history......
After Michael received his degree from Cal Poly in photojounalism, he opened the first of three photo labs in 1980 . It was one of the first photo labs in California that offered one hour photo processing. The lab quickly grew to include services that are usually only found in the big cities. The customers included Fine Art, Portrait, and Wedding Photographers along with both state and corporate accounts. The daily exposure to so many different photographers and their styles was a joy, and shaped Michael into the versatile photographer he is today.
Marcia received her degree from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. As an accomplished portrait photographer, Marcia was ready to take the next step in her photographic journey by opening her own studio. She rented loft space from Michael and turned it into a state of the art studio. Marcia's business flourished due to her skill in the studio, combined with the advantage of having her own photo lab right downstairs. Soon families, businesses and High School Seniors were all enjoying quality professional photography along with the fastest delivery in San Luis Obispo.
Then... A couple asked us to photograph their wedding, which changed our lives. Up to this point, we had never photographed anything together, but both had been photographing families and weddings on our own. Working together was magic. And after that one wedding, we decided to open our wedding photography business. That was in 1990. Wow! We still can't believe it's been 27 years!
We have three children, three grandchildren, three dogs and a cat.... Our daily lives are full, and we wouldn't want it any other way.
Our passion for photography has not changed, and in fact it continues to grow. We love what we do.... capturing raw emotions, true love, and once in a lifetime moments.
